Sunday, April 01, 2012 | 2 comments  Mirror Mirror is a modern-day retelling of the Grimm brother's fairy tale, Snow White. After the disappearance of the king, the stepmother-queen, played by Julia Roberts, took over the throne, used the kingdom's wealth for her own luxury and kept Snow White (Lily Collins) locked up in the palace. The characters of the story were comical. There were cheeky touches here and there, but the plot was very predictable. No sudden twist of story whatsoever. The acting was so-so. Lily Collins could have passed as Bella Swan, but slightly worse in acting. But she did do a good job being pretty wtf. Armie Hammer, as the prince, was a good sport. Not exactly the most accurate term, but that's the closest I can think of. The movie was entertaining to a certain, but not a movie I would strongly recommend. However, if you do watch it, stay for the credits. Seriously. (Y) ;) Labels: movie |
